The “forger” (Joe Murphy) has intentionally changed the “J,” “M,” and “y.” He will almost invariably state that he never makes these letters in this form, and indeed he does not. But, then again, neither would a forger who does his best to make his product look right, not wrong. Another clue is that the interior letters of the signature are consistent with the interior letters of the genuine signature. Some of Joe’s real signature has “leaked” through.
